2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve L for sale in Billings MT
Jeep introduced its redesigned Grand Cherokee SUV last year by first debuting a spinoff version, the Grand Cherokee L. The L is longer than the regular Grand Cherokee and uses that length to make room for a third row of seating. (The standard Grand Cherokee has only two rows.) This puts it in the same class of midsize SUVs such as the Kia Telluride, Honda Pilot and Volkswagen Atlas.
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is available in a six- or seven-seat configuration and features a second row that can slide 7 inches to make room for third-row passengers. Rear seating is pretty roomy by midsize SUV standards, and you should have little trouble persuading passengers up to about 6 feet tall to make their way to the very back.
Interior roominess joins other positive traits such as an available V8 engine that provides stout towing power and above-average off-road ability. But there are a few issues that prevent it from reaching the top of its class. Take a look at our Expert Rating below to get our test team's take on how the Grand Cherokee L measures up.The Edmunds Vehicle Testing Team evaluates a fresh batch of vehicles every week, pairing objective assessments at our test track with real-world driving on city streets, freeways and winding roads.
